Ominimo teams up with ElevenLabs for AI voices

Ominimo, a digital insurtech company expanding across Europe, has teamed up with ElevenLabs to introduce AI voice assistants into its customer service operations. The collaboration seeks to replace outdated phone menus and scripted call center processes with AI that can manage complex interactions in real time.
Voice AI that understands, not just responds
The partnership addresses limitations of traditional automated phone systems, which often frustrate customers with rigid options. ElevenLabs’ technology, already adopted by fintech firms like Revolut and Klarna, uses advanced deep-learning models to enable smooth, natural conversations without delays.
These assistants support over 70 languages and can switch between them instantly, removing translation barriers. They handle tasks beyond simple inquiries, such as confirming payments, updating policies, processing claims, and generating essential documents like green cards and coverage certificates.
Ominimo’s founder and CEO, Dušan Komar, noted the difference between older chatbots and this new approach. “Voice and chatbots have existed for years,” he said. “What stands out here is the system’s ability to grasp natural language and complete specific requests without hassle.”
ElevenLabs’ models respond almost instantly, allowing customers to skip menus and avoid waiting. Instead of relying on pre-written scripts, the AI processes conversations dynamically, moving beyond the constraints of earlier automated systems.
A unicorn’s push for global scale
The partnership comes as Ominimo experiences rapid growth. The company recently raised a Series B funding round at a $1.6 billion valuation, becoming Serbia’s first fintech unicorn. It also formed a strategic alliance with Zurich Insurance Group, strengthening its expansion plans.
Komar described the deal with ElevenLabs as part of a larger strategy. “We aim to manage almost all customer interactions through these assistants,” he explained, while noting that human agents would still be available for those who prefer them. The advantages, he added, include round-the-clock service, no hold times, and reliable quality.
For Ominimo, the AI assistants provide unlimited capacity and instant scalability—key benefits as it prepares to enter the U.S. market. The company’s emphasis on globally adaptable models reflects a wider trend in fintech: using AI to improve efficiency while maintaining the personal experience customers want.
ElevenLabs, established in Central and Eastern Europe, has gained recognition in voice AI. Komar pointed to its success as proof that high-quality technology can emerge from the region. “That’s why this partnership feels particularly important,” he said.
The deployment will start in Ominimo’s current markets, with further expansion planned as the company enters new regions. No specific timeline was given for when the AI assistants would fully replace traditional customer service channels.
The shift mirrors a broader industry move toward automation. Companies acquiring assets often prioritize scalable solutions to reduce costs while improving service.
